The Civil Rights Memorial in Montgomery

This was the first White House of the Confederacy. Jefferson Davis lived here when the Confederate capitol was in Montgonery.





3 times peaceful black citizens tried to march to Montgomery for voting rights beginning on March 7, 1965. The 3 rd time they marched, they made it all the way to Montgomery after walking for 5 days.
